Lace, Ribbon, Yarn, Trimmings Spool Organizer

I am working on getting all my lace and ribbon organized and designed this little spool from some vintage sewing graphics I had. The graphics are available in my little etsy store

To make it strong enough I print it on brochure paper or matte finish photo paper. Then use spray glue to attach it to a medium weight matte board... You can purchase medium weight matt board at your local office supply store. Cut it out and sand the edges with a emery board. This will give it a die cut look. You can also dress up the sides with a paint pen or heel and sole dressing that is normally used for shoes and that seals the matt board and really makes it  look vintage too.

I have several styles available so stop by my little etsy store and check them out!

  11. I'm on a surfing trip, visiting all my followers and friends. This post is a little bit girly for me, but I'll ask my Connie if she has visited your post. This looks right up her alley. Have a great week, Steve

  25. I have just purchased a large joblot of broderie anglaise. These will be perfect for tidying it all away (and display them too). I love having stocks of things to display in my craft cabinets as much as I enjoy working with the items. Why is collecting fabrics, buttons, ribbons, trimmings so theraputic and so much fun??!!

  27. I know this was an old post but I just found it via Pinterest and I wanted to say thanks you and I also saw a tip the other day to split open a straw and trim to fit the card/spool and then you get no creases in silk ribbon and other ribbons also. Even some lace car crease. But again I say Thanks you so very much!
